All-Stars Universe Project

Hello, dear reader. In this article I would like to share with you a little about the project i am focused on at this moment: All-Stars Universe. After almost 8 years of working and planning different themed and special events, i just felt it`s time for me to have my own project in Second Life. I am not a choreographer – to became one requires long enough experience in numerous successful staged shows based on dance choreography – and neither a showman – again, it`s about long experience. I know people dedicated to staged shows, musicals, tribute concerts or plays who have been doing this for years, and I greatly admire and respect their work and achievements. I’m just a stubborn passionate about music and dance, fascinated by this virtual world and what we can build here.

All-Stars Universe was founded in 2023 when the first open show took place in Ville de Coeur, where All-Stars Universe Official Headquarters is also located. With an elegant, welcoming decor, the ground floor provides a stage for regular events and one area for meetings, relaxing or just chatting, and the upper floor is set for themed events and contests. The space for tribute concerts is pending, while we are looking for a location for larger events.

Beside our own activity there, we also wish to provide full-support and All-Stars Universe is available for all residents who wish to host an nice event or to have partys for special occasions, but don’t have a place for it – just contact me or Cris for details and we can make it happen.

 

Themed events & Contests

This is perhaps one of the most engaging and exciting ways to plan an event in Second Life: with themes that challenges us to build the setting as realistic as possible – and look for music that fits the theme. We started with a premiere: Highschool Nostalgia themed event where we really felt like being at a teenage party. Then we had One Thousand and One Nights – a magical journey through the mystical world of Scheherazade, with oriental sounds and dances. And just recently we had Represent your nation, a theme dedicated to all residents of Second Life and a challenge to represent their country through outfits and colors. Now we already started working on future projects and – once again – i would really like to state how fortunate we are to have in Second Life absolutely sensational decor creators, a valuable resource for us to reproduce special scenes and themes.

Staged shows and tribute concerts

Modern Talking Tribute will be the first one and is scheduled for September. MT is one of the most successful bands in the history of Pop music and the most successful of Germany, with worldwide concerts from 1984 to 1987 – and from 1998 to 2003. There is a personal reason behind this concert: together with my brother, we have been for 4 years an active part of the Official Modern Talking Fan Club of România – times I remember with such nostalgia when we had gatherings with members from different cities of the country – and sometimes from abroad. So for me, this is something trully special.

We want to express our gratitude to Maksim Byriukov for his advice and amazing support – he made such an excellent work with the avatars – to Theosis Furse and Edward Ballinger for their great work on stages we will use in our feature shows and special themed events. We look forward for our first concert!

 

Trivia for fun

No work without having fun – this is our motto! All-stars Universe will host Trivia engagement activities to discover more about each other`s origins and interests. On Wednesday, July 17 we celebrated Bastille Day with members from Ville de Coeur`s french community – having all kind of interesting questions from their country and culture. From September there will be other fun evenings with interesting topics – including Second Life Fun Trivia with lots of questions about Second Life – past and present – and a chance for us all to learn more about this virtual world.
