Fall’s Splendor at Coeur de Bourgogne
Fall has always been my favorite season, along with spring. Something magical happens during these two seasons: the nature has a way of grounding us, reminding of the beauty and simplicity of life. And Coeur de Bourgogne seems to me to be at its best when it starts to turn yellow and copper. Imagine this: a late autumn afternoon and you – leaving behind the constant noise, the crowded streets and the relentless pace of urban living; shortly you find yourself surrounded by the gentle rustling of leaves, the melodic chirping of birds and the calming flow of a nearby stream. This is Coeur de Bourgogne, a land where autumn reigns supreme, a fleeting yet breathtaking reminder of nature’s ever-changing palette.
Crossing autumn paths
Walking down the quiet road in Coeur de Bourgogne is like stepping into a painting. The trees, dressed in their finest hues of gold, red and orange, create a canopy of colors that dance in the breeze. The leaves, in their final act, bring a burst of color and joy before they rest. And as you wander through the village, you’ll find charming spots to relax and contemplate the serene landscape: rustic terraces ideal for sipping a warm drink while watching the leaves fall, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere; a fine dining restaurant perfect for a romantic evening; cozy eateries to gather with friends over a pizza and a glass of cold beer; a fitness center at the Auberge Mon Répos, the only hotel in Ville de Coeur – and more. Let`s go for a ride.
Horse riding
Once again, i have to say this: Second Life is simply fascinating, overcoming the limits and giving us the opportunity to live unique experiences. Riding in Second Life isn’t just about the “solo” experience; it’s also about community. And for many, horse riding in Second Life is more than just a hobby; it’s a therapeutic escape. The rhythmic motion of the horse, combined with the serene virtual landscapes, provides a calming effect that can help reduce stress and anxiety.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, Coeur de Bourgogne is one of the best places in Second Life for horse riding. Ride a bicycle
Same as horse riding, one of the most exciting aspects of virtual cycling is the ability to connect with other riders. In Second Life, residents are able to ride their own bikes, and even more, anyone can use wearable bikes. You can join group rides, races and events where you can compete against cyclists from around the world. The paths in Coeur de Bourgogne are perfect for a bike ride – and the most beautiful part is that starting from here, from the heart of Ville de Coeur, you can cross paths and streets along the 8 sims, enjoying different landscapes, as in a trip around the world. So, hop on your bike and start your cycling adventure today. The open roads of Ville de Coeur are waiting for you!
L’Eglise de Bourgogne is based on “Eglise Saint Philippe et Saint Jacques”, a real Catholic church in Chateauneuf-en-Auxois, Bourgogne, France. Placed under the patronage of Saint-Philippe and Saint-Jacques, the church of Châteauneuf dates from the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. Dedicated to St Philip the Galilean and St James the Greater, whose relics can be found in Santiago de Compostela, the church was for a long time a branch of that of Vandenesse, the mother church in which the Lords of Châteauneuf were buried as early as 1300, and it was not until 1572 that it was established as a curial parish. Formerly under the patronage of the chapter of Autun and dependent on the archpriesthood of Pouilly-en-Auxois, the parish was not attached to the diocese of Dijon until the French Revolution.
Rt. Rev Magnus Brody holds church services at L’Eglise de Bourgogne at 11 am SLT. These services consists of Contemplation, Prayer, Bible Readings, Hymn, Choral and Sacred Music. The music is sometimes quite varied from classical to gospel, traditional to avant-garde. Everyone, including non-Christians and non-believers, are welcome to attend the service for the fellowship and music.
Located at the Maison Meursault on the Rue des Flandres inside Faïence de Bourgogne, in the heart of the province, Pizzeria Jonny provides an extremely enjoyable RP dining experience in Second Life – all for free! The restaurant has barreled wine and beer for your drinking pleasure, a rich menu with different sortiments of pizza, and even an take-out order system. The beer is Amalfi’s own Birra del Bagnino dark amber ale, and the wine is produced from the Castello del Nido vineyards and is also barreled.
Jonny’s pizzas have more than an appealing look. First off, they are created from savory G&S foods. Chef Jonny uses Rence flour, grown from Rence plants along SL water, butter churned from the milk of Alsatian verrs, red-ripe tomatoes grown in Bourgogne and Amalfi, and cheese made from verrs’ milk of Alsace. The rest of the ingredients are bartered for, with the exceptions of salmon and vulo eggs which come from Amalfi.
Secondly, Jonny’s pizzas are consumable. They are “eaten” by the avatar and enter their pixelated stomachs. Once devoured, they disappear.
And thirdly, these pizzas add points to your G&S RP hud which many of you recall using during the tuna tournaments.
Pizzeria Jonny is opened for business on Thursday and Saturday, and open all the time for visiting and Greedy games. There is no charge for any pizzas or spirits.
The idea of this inn was inspired by the real Hanu`Ancuței located along one of the main European roads that cross Romania, famous throughout the country especially for the unique hospitality and the so delicious traditional dishes. A story that began 305 years ago… and still continues to write pages with such wonderful memories. A place full of history and traditions, and a cozzy spot where you are welcome to discover a part of Romania’s rich and beautiful culture, to fully enjoy the 100% live concerts of Isabella Rumsford – a singer born in România – and more events held here with folk, etno, traditional music, dance and good cheer.
These are just some of the tourist attractions in Coeur de Bourgogne – we leave it to you to discover more of it. Because whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a place to connect with friends, this village is your perfect destination. So come and experience the magic of autumn at Coeur de Bourgogne, Ville de Coeur.

You have succeeded, as usual, to transcribe the magnificent atmosphere that we feel by walking around “Ville de Coeur”.
Every day I walk around, most often on horseback, and I am in admiration for the beauty of the fall landscapes. Like you fall is my favorite season, in real life too. The temperature is more bearable, the colors of the landscapes are incredible. Although this year the weather is not very pleasant, but it does not change the beauty of the landscape.
I am always fascinated, every season, the talent that Ayla has to change the landscapes. She thinks of each details, in all the places of “Ville de Coeur”, it is close to perfection and it is one of the reason that makes me feel so well here.

Thank you so much, Sandy! I also like to take a walk on the long road in Bourgogne – especially on spring and autumn ☺ Is a good place to spend an afternoon or late evening, mostly after a busy RL workday ☺
